Several multimedia softwares can be controlled by MIDI. A few examples:
To control these programs by lighting-software over the network, it is useful to convert the artnet-data generated by the lighting-software to MIDI data.
Doktor Andy published a detailed example with GrandMA on PC and Resolume. He also released a program to convert Artnet toMIDI. This software is a bit restricted - especially configuration of the ip-address.
Thus i programmed my own converter Artnet2Midi.
